Applies the principles of software engineering to the design, development, maintenance, testing and evaluation of software and computer systems. Works cross-functionally to understand business requirements, evaluate alternative approaches and ensure software and systems are designed to facilitate ease of use and seamless integration into the target environments. Incorporates state-of-the-art concepts, tools and practices to facilitate system functionality, security and continuous improvement.

• Strong skills in Core Java, J2EE, Web Services (REST JSON, SOAP).
• Experience in Spring, Hibernate, JPA.
• Experience in UI technologies Java Server faces (JSF), HTML, JAVASCRIPT, CSS, jQuery.
• Experience in design patterns & frameworks and Continuous Integration (CI) servers (Jenkins/TeamCity/TFS)
• Proficient in developing server-side components and working with application server (WebSphere/ Tomcat/JBOSS) on windows OS or Unix platform
• Experience working with databases (Oracle/PostgreSQL)
• Good exposure to XML, XSLT, XSD,JSON.
• Experience on Java/J2EE stack unit & smoke testing (Junit, Mockito)
• Experience in JMeter (Nice to have)
• Familiar on using Code Coverage and Static analysis tools (i.e. SONAR)
• Deep understanding and experience of Software development lifecycle and Agile Methodologies
• Understand and follow best practices, defined processes and tools
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ensures timely delivery and quality of the deliverables for the assigned work
• Should have an ability to understand the software product requirements/features, architecture and design
• Analyze, estimate, design & implement product requirements
• Should be able to review requirements, code, design, use cases, unit/smoke test cases
• Able to troubleshoot production problems, identify root cause and solution quickly
• Able to identify & suggest improvements (product/process/technical)
• Adapt existing methods and techniques drawing from past experiences and feedback to come up with improved solutions.
• Escalate and resolve timely, the technical and module related issues to the senior.

Required Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent work experience required.
• Minimum of 2-4 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in Software Engineering.
• Good business English skills (Written and spoken).
