Microsoft Identity & Network Access (IDNA) is a central part of the everyday technology experience and safeguards over a billion active users every month. It enables the identity experience that is essential for almost every Microsoft product and service from Windows to Office, from Azure to Xbox. Microsoft Entra is a thriving business, and we have a huge role in our mission to secure the world's most precious assets and most visited services. We are the IDNA Security team with the mission to protect Entra services. We are a close community of engineers that play multiple roles -- work closely with various services, collaborate with other security teams, help services launch and run securely. We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with a security mindset who can provide data intelligence, technical leadership and design along with delivering Entra protection goals via real time detection and defense systems.

Responsibilities

Take ownership of the design, architecture, development, deployment and operations of Microsoft ZTNA microservices you will develop, using DevOps practices, pair programming and other cutting-edge methodologies.

• Promote a highly collaborative environment with other product team members.
• Participate in regular technical forums to share knowledge with other engineers.
• Be an active member of cross-functional agile teams collaborating with product owners, frontend developers, designers, and business intelligence teams.
  
  

Qualifications

• Possess 4+ years of experience as a software engineer working on industrial strength software and a proven track record of having shipped commercially successful software products & services.
• 4+ years of solid backend experience with microservice and distributed event-driven architectural patterns
• Professional experience with one backend programming language, e.g., Python, C#, Java
• Experience working with docker and containerization technologies such as Kubernetes.
• A deep understanding of continuous integration and continuous delivery.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
• Familiar with secure software development life cycle
• Experience with software development tools such as source control systems (GIT), automated build systems, compilers, software validation systems, project tracking, and lifecycle management systems
• Work independently, drive and manage technical and architectural dependencies.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate in a multi-disciplinary team consisting of Software Engineers, Program Managers, Security researchers, and Data Scientists.
• BS or MS degree in Computer Science
