Job Description
Goonj is looking for a Software Developer (3-5 years of experience) to support our technology, automation, and digitization initiatives. This role requires a balance between working with external vendors and actively developing new features and optimizations within our digital ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities
Application/Platform Integration and Management:
- Manage and integrate various software and applications/platforms currently in use within Goonj.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and ensure seamless integration of new technologies.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance internal systems, adding features as needed.
- Automate manual processes and workflows to improve efficiency.
- Conduct end-to-end testing of workflows to identify bugs, inconsistencies, and inefficiencies.
- Ensure that data flows, integrations, and user experiences are smooth and error-free.
- Collaborate with internal teams to validate new implementations before deployment.
Vendor Coordination & Technology Oversight
- Work closely with external tech vendors to customize and implement open-source and third-party solutions.
- Define clear technical requirements and ensure vendors meet Goonj’s operational needs.
- Review and test vendor-delivered features, ensuring they align with expected workflows.
Data Processing and Analysis:
- Utilize Python and data processing libraries like Pandas to clean, process, and analyze data from various sources.
- Implement data transformation workflows to support operational needs and reporting requirements.
- Oversee data integrity, consistency, and interoperability across multiple platforms.
- Ensure proper data collection, storage, and analysis for reporting and decision-making.
- Identify data gaps and inefficiencies, recommending improvements.
Qualifications
Educational Background:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Technical Skills:
Programming & Development
- Proficiency in Python (for automation, scripting, data processing).
- Experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS for UI/UX improvements.
- Hands-on experience in maintaining and enhancing existing software solutions.
System & Integration Management
- Experience in overseeing third-party/custom-built software solutions.
- Strong understanding of APIs and integrations between different tools.
Testing & Workflow Analysis
- Ability to analyze, test, and debug workflows.
- Strong attention to detail in software validation and process automation.
Data Management & Reporting
- Experience with PostgreSQL/MySQL databases for managing and querying data.
- Understanding of data pipelines and ETL processes.
Soft Skills & Collaboration
Bonus Skills (Preferred but Not Mandatory).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Basic knowledge of low-code platforms and workflow automation tools.
- Visualization: Experience with Superset or other data visualization tools.
- Salesforce: Basic knowledge of Salesforce
Experience:
- 3-5 years of professional experience in software development, particularly in environments focused on application management, data integration and automation.
Soft Skills & Collaboration:
- Ability to coordinate with vendors and communicate technical needs effectively.
- Experience in training and supporting non-tech teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a self-learning mindset
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and implementing solutions.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse, team-oriented environment.
