Position Overview: The Software Engineer in Test is a pivotal role specializing in the validation and automation of test cases for Networking Products. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of networking fundamentals, firewalls, Layer 2/Layer 3 protocols, EVPN, virtualization technologies, and proficiency in test frameworks and automation tools.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop comprehensive test plans based on technical requirements.
• Construct and manage network topologies for test execution.
• Utilize strong analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Implement and execute test cases, and develop automation scripts to enhance efficiency.
• Regularly report on testing progress and outcomes.
  
  

Candidate Profile:

• Proficient in Layer 2 and Layer 3 Protocols.
• Experience with API and UI testing is highly desirable.
• Strong automation skills with Python and Robot Framework.
• Collaborative team member with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  
  

Technical Expertise:

• In-depth knowledge of switches, routers, and IP Networking Fundamentals.
• Specialization in one or more of the following areas:
• Layer 2: Mastery of Datacenter & Switching technologies, including STP, RSTP, MSTP.
• Layer 3: Expertise in routing and routed protocols, MPLS, LDP, RSVP, L3VPN, L2VPN, EVPN, OSPF, ISIS, BGP.
• Proficiency in automation for all technical areas is required, with skills in Perl, Python, and Robot Framework.
  
  

Experience and Qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (BE/BTECH/ME/MTECH) from a renowned university or college.
• 2-4+ years of experience in networking product validation.
• Networking certifications such as JNCIA, JNCIS, JNCIP, or equivalent are advantageous.
