Job Summary

We are looking for a Monitoring Engineer to design, implement, and maintain monitoring solutions for applications and infrastructure. The role involves setting up and managing Splunk, Kibana, Grafana, and PagerDuty, writing SQL queries, and using Python scripts to automate monitoring tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and resolve issues with Java Spring Boot micro-services running in Kubernetes clusters.
• Diagnose and resolve identity-related issues impacting micro-services performance.
• Manage deployments and service scaling within Kubernetes clusters.
• Respond to and handle incidents effectively in a 24/7 rotational shift setup.
• Work closely with development, security, and platform teams to ensure operational efficiency and smooth service delivery.
• Implement and maintain effective monitoring, alerting, and logging systems to proactively detect issues.
• Ensure the observability of systems to minimise downtime and ensure high availability.
• Use programming and scripting languages to automate repetitive tasks, reducing manual effort and increasing system reliability.
• Oversee the scaling and management of containerised applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Manage and maintain messaging systems such as Solace Appliance (physical and software), Flume, and Kafka.
• Administer data stores such as ElasticSearch, Druid, HDFS, and HBase/Google Bigtable.
