About the Team:
You’ll work on problems at scale, i.e., how to efficiently provide data protections for millions of users’ emails or documents. You’ll be part of the team that drives the next generation of SaaS protection and the company’s next growth engine.
About the Role:
We seek a software engineer to join our Rubrik Data Lifecycle Team. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying mission-critical SaaS and cloud-based applications for Service Level Agreements (SLAs). These SLAs define how backups are managed, ensuring data availability and recovery according to user-defined objectives. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate complex requirements into elegant and scalable solutions, shaping the future of Rubrik's data protection offerings.
What you’ll do:
You will design, build, and maintain Rubrik’s data lifecycle services. You’ll help solve problems such as:
- Design, develop, and implement high-quality, maintainable, and scalable SaaS and cloud-based applications for Rubrik's Data Lifecycle Management services.
- How do you optimize cloud computing/storage so that the cost remains low at scale?
- Collaborate with partner teams such as Product Management, QA, UI, UX, documentation and support teams
Experience you’ll need:
- 2-5 years of experience in developing large-scale distributed systems
- Exceptional understanding of distributed systems
- Sound understanding of cloud architecture and internals for AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Proven experience in data structures, algorithms, software design, and systems analysis
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- Proficiency in one or more of the following - Golang, Scala, and SQL programming languages. Working knowledge of Golang would be a bonus
- Strong understanding of System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology, design patterns, and software engineering principles
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Ability to work independently or as a team on complex, time-sensitive projects.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
