Who We Are Looking For

State Street is looking for an application developer with 5+ years of experience for the EPW Plus Team, a part of Global Technology Services. This is a hands-on development position for a candidate with proven record of software development, life cycle management and execution excellence.

The candidate should have experience in Financial Services. The Application Developer should be a completely hands-on developer, developing in C and SQL. The candidate should be able to provide production support for implemented solutions and should work with cross-functional teams. The candidate should have excellent development and problem-solving skills, someone with creativity and self-motivation to deliver on mission critical projects with tight timelines and competing priorities.

What You Will Be Responsible For

• Total years of experience must include some Financial technology and at least 3 years of experience with Oracle.
• Demonstrated experience with C, MQ, JIRA, SQL, AutoSys, Tuxedo
• Proven knowledge of financial services
• Demonstrated ability to analyze business requirements and develop solutions to the business needs
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and in a professional manner, both written and orally
• Proven ability to be a team player with a positive attitude, enthusiasm, initiative, and self-motivation
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task and meet aggressive timelines
• Application performance, measurement and tuning
  
  
  

Education & Preferred Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Computer Science or related field
• 5+years of experience in Information Technology
• Experience in financial industry
• Experience in agile delivery & adhering to SDLC processes is required
• Strong team ethics and team player.
• Strong communication (verbal and written) both internally and with vendors.
• Focus and desire to deliver high quality service.
• Ability to work in a high pressured and time sensitive environment
• Clear understanding of low latency systems
