Our client, an Australian industry leader, is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Website Developer with expertise in Flutter and Squarespace to join their team remotely from India and take their digital platforms to the next level.

THE ROLE:

This is an opportunity for an experienced developer who thrives in a creative environment. You'll work with our marketing and design teams to enhance user experiences across our websites, parent portals, and mobile applications. Your work will directly impact thousands of schools and families across Australia.

Key responsibilities:-

• Develop and maintain seamless, user-friendly websites and applications in Flutter and Squarespace.
• Build and optimise responsive designs for desktop and mobile platforms.
• Collaborate with marketing to implement updates, campaigns, and new features.
• Ensure high performance, scalability, and security of digital assets.
• Troubleshoot issues, identify improvements, and implement best coding practices.
• Lead the development of web solutions, ensuring projects are delivered on time and to specification.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into high-quality technical solutions.
• Develop reusable code components, promoting consistency and efficiency across all projects.
• Conduct comprehensive testing to ensure seamless website performance on all devices and browsers.
• Integrate third-party APIs and tools, expanding the website's capabilities to meet business needs.
• Conduct code reviews, providing constructive feedback to maintain high-quality standards.
• Develop detailed documentation for all code and features, ensuring easy maintenance and updates.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex web issues quickly, minimising disruptions.
• Communicate technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred candidate profile:

• 5+ years of experience in web development.
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration and mentoring.
• Proficiency in Flutter for cross-platform app development.
• Strong working knowledge of Squarespace including custom code for website management and customisation.
• Solid understanding of DART, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and back-end principles.
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
• Experience with UI/UX design collaboration to deliver intuitive user interfaces.
• A problem-solving mindset with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and within a team to deliver projects on time.
• Passion for creating meaningful, impactful digital experiences.
• Familiarity with integrations like Stripe, Google Analytics, or Mailchimp.
• Familiarity with Ruby on Rails Tech Stack.
• Knowledge of SEO and website performance optimisation.
