At IT Services, we are passionate about JAVA and Selenium. Our Store Solutions team is continuously expanding. We are looking for a Senior Test Automation Engineer. In our diverse environment you can always grow depending on your qualification level.

We are working in an agile way. This means that our teams are completely product oriented, have end to end responsibility both for the product in development and in production. The same people not only take care of the application, but also of the business side of the product. The everyday work is typically organized using agile frameworks. This means the implementation of daily scrum, reviews, and retrospectives.

We process the data from round about 35.000 connected devices from DHL retail stores all over Germany.

Our application is based on Microsoft .NET technology; our test automation is based on selenium/appium and is written in Java 19.

To help us collaborate better, we are using tools like Teams, Jira, Confluence or Mural. Currently, we’re looking for Senior Test Engineers for our team who can participate in our product development and helps ensuring the high quality of our products. Your work will have a direct impact to the end customer experience in DHL retail stores. Typically, your day would be filled with estimating stories, analyzing business processes, specification of tests, automated test development, drive the test automation and a bit of other fun, too. You will be part of the Testing and Automation team responsible for working on a mission critical application for the DHL German retail organization. The project is currently undergoing long term significant development to migrate the existing systems to new platforms including the future use of cloud-based technology and Android front end systems at point of sales in Postal locations.

What do we expect from you?

A Passionate Professional with Strong Coding Background:

Strong Knowledge of Standalone Application Automation:

• Experience in automating standalone applications using Java.

Experience and Skills in Testing & Automation:

• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in using Selenium for automation testing.
• Ability to write clean, testable, and easily maintainable code.
• Expertise in code-reading and writing reusable libraries.
  
  
  

Database Management:

• Experience with MS-SQL Server and MariaDB Server.
• Ability to perform database queries and manage database-related tasks efficiently.
  
  
  

Scripting and Version Control:

• Experience in using PowerShell Scripting for automation tasks.
• Proficient in using GIT for version control and managing code repositories.
  
  
  

Build and Dependency Management:

• Knowledge of Maven for project build and dependency management.
  
  
  

Virtualization Expertise:

• Extensive knowledge in virtualization technologies and how to leverage them for testing and automation.
  
  
  

Independence and Organizational Skills:

• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage workload under pressure.
• Strong organizational skills to keep track of multiple projects and deadlines.
  
  
  

Multinational Collaboration:

• Experience working in a multinational environment, with cross-region collaboration.
• Advanced proficiency in spoken and written English to effectively communicate with global teams.
