Job Purpose:

To analyzing requirements, extracting test scenarios and do a development and certification testing of next generation remote terminal unit (RTU) and other automation product range. Working with cross functional team (hardware, software, production) for test setup development.

Key Accountabilities:

Development of test strategy and test plan for our range of RTU’s and other Lucy Automation products, Strict version control

Test Plan Documentation, Content for User Manual Documentation, Prepare and maintain Test specifications and Test cases

Preparation of test set up and carry out testing as per test plan

Capture, document and report test results and observations. Trouble shooting and hands on build-up/repair/rework of Test Set ups

Coordinate and deliver in cooperation with other project teams

Job Context:

The position is responsible to carry out product type test (development and certification test), functional testing and preparing a testing setup related activities as allocated. Working as a member within the current product engineering team, who collectively execute all the necessary activities to maintain, improve and optimize our products for the customer and production – considering especially the reliability and robustness aspects.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills

Graduate in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent

Minimum 5+ years working experience in similar industry

Self-driven individual with hands-on skills of automation product range verification and validation.

• Database testing
• Regression testing
• Smoke testing.
• Soak testing
• UI testing
• Experienced in power and automation products testing.
• Experienced in SCADA protocol and conformance/certification testing process.
• Experienced in IEC 61850, IEC 60870-5-101, IEC 60870-5-104, DNP3 protocol testing.
• Ability to execute test cases at a different stage of product life cycle
• Familiarity with protocols such as Ethernet, Modbus Serial/TCP IP, HTTP and protocol test tools
• Unit testing methodology and troubleshooting skill.
  
  

Desirable strengths:

• ISTQB Certificate will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge of NI LabVIEW and NI TestStand will be an added advantage
• Familiarity with bug tracking and traceability tools like JIRA
• Familiarity with test management tool like test link
• Well versed with hands-on experience of the lab equipment such as Omicron/Doble, DSO, Power Supplies etc.,
