Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a Senior System Architect, to contribute to our satellite-based defence project. The selected candidate will play a key role in Solution Integration, Project design and cross-functional management that are critical to the success of our satellite module. Responsibilities may include:
- Define and design the system architecture for onboard AI-based change detection.
- Research and evaluate space-grade SoCs, FPGAs, and computing platforms for deployment.
- Ensure seamless integration of SoCs, sensors, AI algorithms, and embedded systems.
- Develop and implement sensor fusion strategies for enhanced data accuracy.
- Conduct performance benchmarking and optimize AI models for real-time execution.
- Analyze power, thermal, and computational constraints to select the most efficient hardware.
- Oversee hardware-software co-design to maximize computational efficiency.
- Test AI workloads on various platforms to determine the best-fit processing board.
- Maintain project timelines, ensuring smooth development and integration phases.
- Coordinate with developers, hardware engineers, and AI specialists for system cohesion.
- Ensure compliance with space-grade standards and mission constraints.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration, ensuring effective communication among teams.
Qualifications:
Candidate must have Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; A master’s is a plus. Proven professional experience of 5 years in automation development, deployment of AI and testing of embedded systems.
Technical and Inter-personal skills:
- Expertise in system architecture design for AI-driven embedded systems.
- Strong knowledge of space-grade SoCs, FPGAs, and hardware acceleration techniques.
- Experience with sensor fusion, real-time data processing, and AI model integration.
- Proficiency in evaluating and benchmarking computing platforms for efficiency.
- Understanding of power, thermal, and computational constraints in space applications.
- Hands-on experience with AI model optimization for edge and onboard processing.
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and embedded programming.
- Familiarity with radiation-hardened electronics and fault-tolerant computing.
- Knowledge of aerospace standards, mission constraints, and compliance testing.
- Experience in performance analysis, workload distribution, and parallel processing.
- Strong background in hardware-software co-design for AI applications.
- Ability to conduct trade-off analysis for selecting optimal computing platforms.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional teamwork.
- Ability to manage timelines and ensure project efficiency.
