This position is responsible for designing highly complex modules, critical components or a whole application/product in its entirety. Has the vision to integrate it across multiple systems. This position works independently and is seen as a technical leader. Roles and Responsibilities
- Be responsible for providing technical leadership and defining, developing, and evolving software in a fast-paced and agile development environment using the latest software development methods and infrastructure
- Provide guidance to developers with either planning and execution and/or design architecture using agile methodologies such as SCRUM
- Work with Product Line Leaders (PLLs) to understand product requirements & vision
- Drive increased efficiency across the teams, eliminating duplication and leveraging product and technology reuse
- Capture system level requirements by brainstorming with CTO, Sr. Architects, Data Scientists, Businesses & Product Managers
- Leads impact assessment and decision related to technology choices, design/architectural considerations, and implementation strategy.
- Subject matter expert in processes and methodologies with the ability to adapt and improvise in various situations. Expert in navigating through ambiguity and prioritizing conflicting asks.
- Expert level skills in design, architecture and development, with an ability to take a deep dive in the implementation aspects if the situation demands.
- Leads the architecture and design efforts across the product/multiple product versions and is an expert in architecting custom solutions off the base product.
- Expert in core data structures as well as algorithms and has the ability to implement them using language of choice when necessary – as a value offering.
Education Qualification
For roles outside USA:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with significant experience.
For roles in USA:Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with minimum years of experience8years
Desired CharacteristicsTechnical Expertise:
16+ years of experience in the design and development of highly scalable distributed applications and platforms - particularly for multi-tenant, SaaS products.
Experience working with UX Designers and Researchers in order to implement UI components, applications and meet user requirements based on UX specifications and user feedback
Experience in different architectural styles like SOA, micro services and Distributed systems architecture.
Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Analysis and Design, Software Design Patterns and Java coding principles along with Strong computer science fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
Experience with web development using HTML5, Java Script, Typescript, CSS, Angular, Kubernetes, Jenkins
Strong knowledge in development of applications using Angular and Spring Boot.
Experience building a 'Code, Deploy, run' pipeline using DevOps best practices by leveraging the best available CI/CD tools.
Own Tech Debt/Tech Modernization - Ability to balance the long-term "big picture" and short-term implications of design decisions.
Ability to consult customer on alignment of outcomes and desired technical solutions at an enterprise level
Ability to Analyse, design, and develop a software solution roadmap and implementation plan based upon a current vs. future state of the business.
Working knowledge of configuration choices and related cost implications; Experience with complex solution configurations.
Knowledgeable of full range of solution catalogue within a business unit and able to discuss overall solution at depth.
Define the technical roadmap for the product and define the Design and architectural goals for the scrum team.
