Summary of the Senior Staff Software Engineer
We are looking for a Senior Staff Software Engineer to join one of our Engineering organization. You will have the opportunity to work in healthcare software, an exciting and growing area. You will work with a variety of technologies and develop new features and capabilities for our healthcare software solutions. Responsibilities for the Senior Staff Software Engineer
- Develop software solutions and deliver product enhancements
- Troubleshoot software applications, provide technical support to achieve development objectives.
- Actively participate in the end-to-end delivery, ensuring successful completion of sprint goals.
- Ensure smooth execution or processes, identifying and addressing any blockers or impediments.
- Mentor and guide junior software engineers, providing technical expertise and promoting best practices in software development.
- Lead the design and development of complex web-based EHR systems.
- Provide technical assistance, architect scalable and high-performance solutions, ensuring the best practices in software design and coding standards are followed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and ensure timely delivery of software solutions.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum methodologies, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospective meetings.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the development process.
Qualifications of the Senior Staff Software Engineer
- Bachelor's degree required (computer science, information systems, business administration or other industry-related curriculum)
- 8+ or more years as full stack developer along with experience in web applications, end-user applications and back-end services
Technical Skills of the Senior Staff Software Engineer
- Languages: .NET, C#, JavaScript, SQL
- Frameworks: MVC, .NET Entity Framework, Angular (or equivalent frontend frameworks)
- Databases: MS SQL, DynamoDB (or other NoSQL DB)
- Cloud : AWS (or equivalent cloud frameworks)
- Cloud-hosted, scalable SaaS systems
- Experience in end-to-end delivery of project
- Experience with serverless architectures (e.g. AWS Lambda, Event Bridge, API Gateway)
- Experience providing software troubleshooting and enhancements to existing system and applications.
- Experience developing RESTful APIs (or equivalent)
- Experience with Agile methodologies
- Source control management, preferably git
- Secure coding practices
