Senior SQL Developer

Job Purpose

ICE Fixed Income & Data Services is seeking a multi-faceted Database Developer to join its Modeling & Analytics team. The Modeling & Analytics team provides models, indexes and custom analysis to clients across the mortgage and fixed income markets. The successful candidate will join a small technical team that produces monthly deliverables in support of the AFT Prepayment and Credit Model team, responds to internal as well as client requests for model validation and analysis, and hosts numerous large data sets related to mortgage loans. The applicant should demonstrate the ability to show initiative and be able to move projects forward to completion with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Run and validate established and ad-hoc processes in an AWS Windows production environment
• Troubleshoot and enhance established and ad-hoc processes, working with infrastructure and business teams as necessary
• Develop scripts to automate tasks
• Conduct research and gather requirements in support of the AFT Prepayment and Credit Model
• Develop new processes and prepare new data sets in support of the AFT Prepayment and Credit Model team
• Respond to research requests by writing complex queries, analyzing the results and presenting your findings
• Work with infrastructure teams to perform Disaster Recovery exercises
• Document technical processes

Knowledge and Experience

Essential

• Strong SQL development skills including the ability to write, troubleshoot and tune complex queries
• Strong Python coding skills
• Basic knowledge of mortgage domain
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Willingness and aptitude to understand complicated business concepts and related code
• 8 to 10 years of technical experience
• BE (CS/IT/ECE/IS) or MCA
