Senior Software Tester

Overview

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Software Tester to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through comprehensive testing strategies and execution. This role requires a strong understanding of software testing methodologies, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

*Test Planning and Strategy:

-Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases based on software requirements and specifications.

-Estimate testing efforts and timelines.

*Test Automation:

-Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using appropriate tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, etc.).

-Implement and maintain continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines for automated testing.

-Perform API testing using tools like Postman, or RestAssured.

*Quality Assurance:

-Ensure adherence to quality assurance standards and best practices.

-Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on software design and implementation.

-Work closely with developers and product managers to resolve defects and improve software quality.

*Requirements Analysis:

-Analyze software requirements and specifications to identify potential testing issues.

-Collaborate with stakeholders to clarify requirements and ensure testability.

*Team Collaboration:-Mentor and guide junior testers.-Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvement initiatives.

-Work within agile scrum teams.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

*Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Information Technology.

*Minimum 8 years of experience in software testing.

*Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices.

*Proven experience in designing and executing test plans and test cases.

*Proficiency in using bug tracking systems (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).

*Experience with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Postman, RestAssured).

*Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

*Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

*Experience working in agile development environments.

*Experience with API testing.

Preferred Skills:

*Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).

*Experience with security testing tools.

*Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.

*ISTQB certification.*Experience testing cloud based applications.
