Senior Software Test Engineer-Python

The primary role of Engineering function within Product Development team is to create specifications and designs for new products or improvements and enhancements to existing products. Works closely with customers, developers and other stakeholders to understand and define customer needs in these designs. Features are aligned to a timetable and areas of responsibility. Developers may solicit customers for feedback regarding product usability and desired future enhancements. Software Engineers who design, write and test code for the product should be matched in the either Software Engineering Applications or Systems. Product developers who specialize in hardware systems should be matched to Hardware Engineering.

The Data Science and AI/ML team collaborates across the organization to identify, develop and deliver Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) powered software solutions that improve patient outcomes, delight our partners and customers, and improve the way we do business in an “AI First” fashion. On any given day, the team could be working on building sophisticated models to delivering personalized recommendations to patients to improve their sleep, identify optimal equipment and settings using our unparalleled store of billion+ nights of sleep data, proactively identify other health risk factors, or help optimize complex, global supply chain operations. Wherever there is high value to be gained for the patient or customer (external or internal), we employ a rigorous process to develop specific ML driven solutions to realize that value quickly.

• As a Sr. Engineer in Testing Services, you will have the opportunity to work closely with mentors to apply your academic knowledge to real-world scenarios and contribute to the software development life cycle. You will work alongside talented professionals, learning best practices and gaining insights into different development approaches to do:

  • Coding and Programming: Apply your coding skills (SQL, bash scripting, Python) to design and implement data processing solutions. Use SQL queries and analyze log files to test various ETL & Data pipelines.
  • Dive into the Data World: Gain exposure to data engineering concepts and explore the foundations of data warehousing. Perform Data validity, accuracy & integrity test across different components of Data platform/Data warehouse.
  • Explore diverse tools: Learn and experiment with industry-standard tools like databases (Snowflake, MySQL, Oracle), Git version control, and more.
  • Make a Real Impact: See your work contribute to the efficiency and accuracy of our data pipelines, shaping strategic decision-making. Build automated data validation framework and tools to improve the Data warehouse data quality and automate the data platform services and applications.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and come up with relevant Data quality scenarios and execute them.
Triage production level issues by analysing the production logs and work with development team to resolve the issues.

Let’s talk about Qualifications and Experience

• Possesses a strong foundation in programming/scripting fundamentals with good understanding in at least one programming/scripting language (SQL, Python) and scripting (bash).
• Understanding of ETL (extract, Transform & Load), data integration and Data extraction. Hands on experience on snowflake.
• Good understanding in automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, PyTest, TestNG, or equivalent).
• Experience with integration testing and developing test cases for RESTful APIs. Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git). Familiarity with code coverage tools (e.g., SonarQube, SonarCloud, Xray).
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys problem-solving.
• Great interpersonal relations, team cooperation, mentoring and communication skills. Has excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Preferred:

• Bachelor’s or master's degree in a relevant field (Data Engineering, Comp Sc or related field)
• Minimum of 8 years of related experience.
• Applies functional knowledge and existing methodologies to solve complex problems or execute specialized projects
• Demonstrates a genuine interest in data products, test engineering and a willingness to learn new technologies.
