About the Role:

• As a Lead Android Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality Android applications.

• You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and backend developers, to create innovative and user-friendly mobile solutions. In this leadership role, you will guide a team of developers, ensure best practices are followed, and drive technical decisions to ensure that our mobile apps are scalable, performant, and aligned with business goals.

• Your deep knowledge of Android development, Java/Kotlin, and mobile architecture will be crucial in shaping the direction of our mobile products. You will play an active role in mentoring junior developers, conducting code reviews, and overseeing the overall technical quality of the codebase.

Role Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and development of advanced Android applications using Kotlin and Java.

• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to implement visually appealing and intuitive mobile interfaces.

• Ensure the quality and maintainability of the codebase by implementing coding standards, reviewing pull requests, and mentoring junior developers.

• Optimize mobile application performance through efficient memory management, threading, network calls, and other performance-enhancing techniques.

• Manage the full mobile development lifecycle, from concept and design to testing and deployment.

• Ensure high-quality releases through effective unit testing, integration testing, and following best practices in Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD).

• Drive the adoption of new tools and technologies to enhance productivity, performance, and user experience.

• Contribute to architectural decisions to ensure the app is scalable, maintainable, and modular.

• Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups

Minimum Requirements:

• 5-8 years of experience in Android development, with a focus on Kotlin and Java.

• Strong experience with Android SDK, Android Studio, and the latest Android development tools.

• Expertise in mobile app architecture patterns (MVC, MVP, MVVM, Clean Architecture, etc.).

• Solid understanding of UI/UX design principles and the ability to collaborate with design teams to deliver seamless, beautiful user experiences.

• Experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, and integration with backend services.

• Familiarity with Android frameworks such as Jetpack compose, Room, Flow, and Navigation Components

• Proficiency in unit testing (JUnit, Mockito) and UI testing (Espresso, UI Automator).

• Knowledge of version control systems (Git) and experience working with Git-based workflows.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, CircleCI, or GitLab CI.

• Strong understanding of mobile app performance optimization and best practices in memory management, threading, and asynchronous processing.

• Familiarity with Google Play Store guidelines and experience in app publishing, versioning, and deployment.

• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills, with a focus on delivering reliable, high-quality software.

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
