The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer with a strong backend focus to architect, develop, and deploy robust, secure, and scalable Software as a Service (SaaS) cloud application on AWS using microservices and event-driven architecture principles. You will play a pivotal role in building the ProMedix Health SaaS core infrastructure that powers our healthcare platform, ensuring compliance, performance, disaster recovery, and seamless interoperability.

This role demands a blend of deep technical expertise, mentorship, and a passion for building impactful healthcare solutions.

What You’ll Do

• Architect and Develop Backend Systems: Design and implement high-performance backend services and GraphQL/RESTful APIs to support our RPM, CCM, and mental health platforms.
• Optimize Data Workflows: Architect microservices and event-driven systems using relational databases (Aurora PostgreSQL), with a focus on SQL query optimization for healthcare data.
• Master AWS Cloud Infrastructure: Build, maintain, and optimize AWS infrastructure using services like Lambda, AppSync, RDS, API Gateway, Athena, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, S3, and Cognito.
• Lead Containerization and CI/CD: Drive containerization using Docker (Kubernetes preferred) and manage CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
• Ensure Security and Compliance: Conduct SAST/DAST security testing, enforce HIPAA/PHI compliance, and implement TLS 1.3 and AES-256 encryption for data at rest and in transit.
• Champion Interoperability: Integrate with third-party systems, ensuring compliance with FHIR, HL7, HIPAA, and PHI standards.
• Mentor and Lead: Provide mentorship, conduct code reviews, and promote best practices in code quality and delivery.
• Drive DevOps and Agile Delivery: Lead DevOps efforts and collaborate with Product teams in an Agile environment. Take ownership of sprint goals, ensuring timely completion and high code quality through code reviews, automated testing, and CI/CD deployment pipelines.
• Innovate with AI/ML: Explore AI/ML integration, particularly Agentic AI within BI workflows, to enhance diagnostics and predictive analytics.
• Own Disaster Recovery: Plan, implement, and automate disaster recovery (DR) strategies using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like CloudFormation or Terraform.
• Own On-Call Support: Develop and maintain robust on-call support plans and participate in on-call rotations to ensure system reliability and rapid issue resolution.
• Testing and Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain unit, integration, and performance tests to ensure system reliability and code coverage.
• Contribute to Architecture: Shape the platform’s architectural vision to ensure long-term scalability and performance.

What You Bring

• Backend Expertise: 10+ years of experience building healthcare-related SaaS platforms with AWS and HIPAA compliance.
• Programming Skills: Proficiency in Python, Node.js, or Java with production-grade backend development.
• AWS Mastery: Expertise with Lambda, AppSync, Aurora PostgreSQL, Athena, API Gateway, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, Cognito, S3.
• Healthcare Compliance: Solid knowledge of HIPAA, PHI, FHIR, and HL7 standards.
• CI/CD and DevOps: Experience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and DevOps practices in cloud environments.
• SQL Optimization: Strong skills in SQL query optimization and data transformation workflows.
• Security Acumen: Familiarity with static/dynamic testing, secure coding, and TLS 1.3, AES-256 encryption.
• Agile Mindset: Active participant in Agile development and sprint activities.
• Mentorship: Excellent communication and mentoring skills, with a collaborative, solutions-first mindset.
• GraphQL & Event-Driven Systems: Experience with GraphQL APIs (AWS AppSync) and event-driven architectures (e.g., Kafka, SQS, Step Functions).
• Containerization: Proficient with Docker; familiarity with Kubernetes is a plus.

Bonus Points

• Strong AI/ML background, especially integrating Agentic AI with BI workflows.
• Experience with React, Angular, or mobile app development.
• AWS Certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer).
• Certification or equivalent experience in HIPAA or PHI compliance.

Pay: ₹1,294,886.00 - ₹2,034,334.61 per year
