Senior Software Engineer

Job Description

You’ll work with a great engineering team that’s passionate about building the first study budgeting platform of its kind for our pharmaceutical clients. You must be willing to collaborate and help others on the team as necessary, and be a solid team player. This position is an individual contributor (no direct reports).

What You'll Do...

Advance the state of the art in building SaaS services with Java helping to power web applications written in Java and other popular web development frameworks

Work with front end specialists to define REST interfaces, work with RDBMS to provide data.

Full stack development of SaaS enterprise applications, which streamline workflow processes in an important industry.

Work with SPA frameworks like OJet to build clean functional UI

Work with other top-notch engineers, PMs and QA specialists.

Operate as a member of the HDI ClearTrial agile development team.

Skills You Have…

Experience with the Java platform – demonstrated knowledge of the latest Java platform features

Demonstrable experience building Java REST services that power web applications

Strong data modeling and SQL skills. Direct experience with Java ORM's a plus.

Experience with SPA frameworks

Experience with RDBMS systems, Oracle DB a plus

Proven experience with unit testing and test frameworks.

Git or similar distributed SCM tools.

Strong interpersonal skills.

Demonstrable expertise and recent experience with the following:

Full stack web application development

Enterprise SaaS architectures

Service-oriented architectures

Familiarity with cloud-based deployments

Reporting and analytics

Responsibilities

As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.
