About the Role

This role sits within the Institutional Technology (Insto Tech) which delivers full end-to-end world class products and services to our global Institutional and business customers across Australia, New Zealand, Asia, Europe, and America. Within Insto Tech, the role belongs to the Digital Sales Technology Area.

Markets delivers innovative product solutions across foreign exchange, capital markets, fixed income, commodities, equities, as well as specialist research and risk management expertise.
More than 1,200 professionals work in our team in dealing rooms located in the major financial hubs of London, New York, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Singapore, Wellington, Auckland, Sydney and
Melbourne, as well as Beijing, Taipei, Jakarta, Manila, Hanoi and Seoul, with access to a global network of 33 countries. Markets operate in all major ANZ geographies

Digital Sales Tech Area

As part of Institutional Technology, our Technology Area (aka "Tech Area") is responsible for infrastructure, delivery and support of Markets Trading and Sales. We are specifically delivering the technology components of the "eFICC" strategy, which aims to bolster the Bank's market share in Fixed Income and Swaps trading by enhancing its market penetration and improving customer experience through automation.

What will your day look like?

As a Quality Engineer,

• Works with Data Scientists, Data Engineers, Quantitative Analysts, Software Engineers, Analysts and other testers to deliver robust data analytics and distribution platforms
• Collaborating with stakeholders to identify risks early and improve quality by promoting culture of test early and test often
• Understanding business needs and ensuring tests cases are designed to meet acceptance criteria
• Review team deliverables and ensure QA practices are following ANZ Delivery Framework, Audit requirements and Testing Centre of Excellence best practices
• Designing test approaches and optimizing test execution across functional and non-functional coverage
• Build test automation capability / increase test automation coverage with an intent to continuously improve test outcomes
• Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and implement solutions to perform more effective and efficient testing
• Ensuring the necessary hygiene and traceability for test case creation, script creation, test execution and defect logging in a tool system
• Create acceptance criteria and provide estimates for their work Role Skills and Responsibilities

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you’ll ideally bring the following:

• Strong AWS / Python / Terraform
• Strong core Java
• Automation experience using tools/technologies such as Behave, Cucumber, Selenium Webdriver, JUnit, WebdriverIO etc is preferred.
• Strong experience in automation framework development using Python, PyTest, Java, JavaScript, Groovy with exposure to Continuous Integration (CI).
• Extensive experience working in Behaviour-driven development (BDD) tools
• Experience in creating end to end CI/CD solutions using tools such as Jenkins, Codefresh etc
• Influence Analysts and Engineers to have a testing mindset by contributing to and / or supporting analysis and design activities
• Experiences in Jira and GitHub, integrating them to automation testing framework is a plus
• Good to have working knowledge of AWS Cloud services like EKS, S3. Glue
• Good to have working knowledge on XML based Message app development like MQ series also experienced in Camel and Kafka libraries usage

Desired Skills

• UI and Backend test automation experience
• API automation development experience
• Should have good understanding of CI/CD frameworks such as Jenkins/Codefresh
• Working knowledge on BDD Framework: Cucumber/Behave
