JD – Power BI Engineer

Role & Responsibilities –

• Lead the creation, development, and implementation of critical system design changes, enhancements, and software projects
• Ensure timely execution of project deliverables
• Work with other engineers to ensure the system and product is consistent and aligned through all processes
• Improve product quality, performance, and security through substantial process improvements
• Follow development standards and promote best practices
• Perform code review sessions & suggest improvements or alternatives when appropriate.

Requirements & Qualifications –

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 6+ years of experience as a Power BI Developer or similar role, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality Power BI solutions.
• Strong proficiency in Power BI, including hands-on experience in designing and developing interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations.
• Proficient in data modelling, expert in DAX expressions, UI formatting.
• Strong experience with SQL and data querying languages to extract and manipulate data.
• Experience in paginated reports, direct query reports and analytical reports.
• Should experience in managing subscriptions
• Admin experience around security and power bi service for day-to-day operations like managing workspace, implementing RLS etc.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business requirements into effective data visualizations.
• Familiarity with data visualization best practices, user experience (UX) design principles, and data storytelling.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Exposure to ETL tools and DWH projects will be advantageous.
