Position Overview:
A Senior Java Developer is a seasoned software professional responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance, scalable, and secure Java-based applications. This role involves a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and leadership to deliver robust solutions aligned with business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing and implementing: Create and implement microservices using the Spring Boot framework.
- Working with databases: Connect microservices to databases and manage database interactions.
- Testing: Write unit and integration tests to verify design requirements are met.
- Documenting: Create well-written documentation for microservices.
- Collaborating: Work with other developers and team members.
- Learning: Stay up to date on new technologies and approaches.
- Sharing knowledge: Share expertise with others in the organization.
- Supporting: Provide support for complex applications in production.
- Securing: Build and maintain security controls.
- Monitoring: Build non-functional monitoring capabilities.
- Solving problems: Solve complex technical and operational problems.
- Leading: Lead moderately complex projects and participate in larger initiatives.
Required Skills:
- Java 17
- Oracle (SQL, PL/SQL)
- Spring boot 3.x
- Spring framework
- RESTful web services (create and consume)
- ORM (hibernate, JPA)
- Unix (general working knowledge)
- Excel / CSV files interpretation
- Unit testing frameworks
- Understanding of SDLC
- Coding best practices (writing scalable code, exception handling, logging, code documentation, etc.)
- Should be able to debug, troubleshoot code issues
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines
- Understanding of build process
- GitHub for version control

Qualifications:
- Preferably Bachelors.
- 5+years of relevant experience in backend development in Java.
