Key Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and develop high-performance, scalable backend systems and microservices.
• Lead the development and deployment of cloud-native solutions on platforms such as AWS, ensuring reliability and scalability.
• Apply advanced object-oriented programming (OOP) principles and design patterns to create clean, reusable, and maintainable code.
• Oversee the optimization of SQL queries, database designs, and data access layers for maximum performance.
• Manage concurrency, multithreading, and distributed systems to efficiently handle high-volume user demands.
• Drive technical strategy and establish best practices across the engineering team.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and contribute to continuous process improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including product, operations, and QA—to understand requirements and deliver robust solutions.
• Create and maintain detailed design and architecture documentation to support ongoing development and maintenance.
• Evaluate emerging trends and technologies to ensure our systems remain modern and competitive.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• 4-5 years of experience with advanced proficiency in backend languages such as Python, Java, or Node.js with strong object-oriented programming skills.
• Extensive experience in designing and optimizing SQL queries and robust database architectures.
• Proven expertise in cloud platforms like AWS, including advanced use of services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, and container orchestration.
• In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with RESTful APIs, microservices architectures, and service-oriented architectures (SOA).
• Strong command of software design patterns and principles with a focus on scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
• Expert-level experience in concurrency, multithreading, and distributed system design.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and experience using project management tools like JIRA or Trello.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a track record of tackling and resolving complex technical challenges.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, capable of mentoring teams and interfacing with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred, along with 4-5 years of professional experience in backend engineering.

• Experience with containerization tools such as Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
• Expertise in CI/CD pipeline development and automation tools.
• Exposure to advanced testing frameworks and strategies, including unit testing, integration testing, and performance testing.
• In-depth understanding of distributed systems, scalability challenges, and resilience engineering.
