Why are we hiring a Senior Software Developer? We’re on the hunt for a Senior Software Developer as part of our company’s growth.

The Senior Software Developer is responsible for the development of the architecture design and high-quality coding to support Instem’s in silico solutions in meeting customer and internal needs as defined my product managers/scientists.

Who’s Instem? Well, we’re a global provider of bespoke industry-leading software solutions and services, which facilitate the pre-clinical, and clinical phases of the drug discovery process. We have over fifteen products in our portfolio, used by over 700 pharmaceutical clients (including all the top 20!).

What are you responsible for?

• Development of new and existing product features
• Building desktop, web applications and services components using best practices
• Producing technical documentation when applicable
• Adherence to agreed programming standards and guidelines
• To monitor technology trends such as emerging standards for new technology opportunities, and to identify sources of technology and data that could streamline and reduce development costs
• Adherence to the Company’s Quality Management System to ensure that all work is handled Securely, Professionally and Diligently.
  
  
  

To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Need

• Proficiency in Java (1.8 or above) with a solid understanding of object-oriented programming concepts.
• Experience with Hibernate/JPA for ORM and database interaction.
• Hands-on experience of Spring Framework, including Spring Boot and Spring MVC.
• Proficiency in GWT (Google Web Toolkit) for building and maintaining front-end components.
• Hands-on experience with WildFly (or JBoss) application servers for deploying and managing Java applications.
