Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.

Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.

As a senior software engineer on the Console Core App team, you will be focused on defining, designing and building the Console Core App, the centerpiece of the OCI Console that ties all the other pieces of this federated application together. You will be working with individuals from product management, engineering, design, documentation and partnering with backend service teams. We use DevOps practices in our work, so you will own the application from conception through design, development, testing to deployment and maintenance.

Minimum Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience shipping software
• BS in Computer Science, or equivalent experience
• Ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment
• Strong grasp of Computer Science concepts (data structures, algorithms, and programming paradigms)
• Experience in React.js or a similar framework.

Preferred Qualifications

• MS in Computer Science
• Experience in a start-up environment
• Experience building rich, browser-based applications
• Experience designing, developing, and maintaining web applications operating at great scale
• Experience in React.js or a similar framework.
• Experience in web frontend integration testing technologies (Selenium or similar).
• Good understanding of Unix-like operating systems
• Experience with DevOps practices and toolchains
