Role Overview:
As a Senior Software Developer with KX you will create, automate, expand, and optimise secure development practices and code security tooling across KX products. This role will encompass the development of security tooling and extensions for KX products leveraging q, Python, Java, C, C++, Go, Rust, and JavaScript and establishing interoperability with other elements of the KX product suite and partner teams. You will collaborate with stakeholders, partners and the wider R&D team at KX to solve interesting and challenging problems to help a growing community of users.
Responsibilities:
- Design, create, implement, and optimise security tooling and integrations.
- Collaborate with team members and external clients to develop optimised and user-friendly solutions to complex problems.
- Keep up to date with developments within the Application Security community to ensure KX is at the forefront of this arena.
- Promote education on secure coding practices to R&D teams in conjunction with our training partner.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical and security issues with internal and external customers. Participate in security requirements analysis, threat modelling, code reviews, and remediation efforts to ensure code quality and security are maintained.
Requirements:
- Willing to work in UK shift timings as per the team need.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or a related field or relevant professional certification.
- A strong understanding of and passion for clean, efficient software architecture and development.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience with at least one of the following languages: Python, Java, C, C++, GoLang, or Rust.
- Solid understanding of software packaging and distribution.
- Demonstrable experience with CI/CD methodologies, tooling, and pipelines.
- Excellent problem-solving skills/attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
