The Role (Describe the role):

QA Engineer plays a vital role in supporting the quality assurance efforts of the organization by assisting in the development and execution of test cases. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and implement test cases, and execute test suites to validate software functionality. The QA Engineer works under the guidance of senior team members to enhance testing efficiency, scalability, and reliability while learning and applying automation as and when required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and Develop test scripts.
• Perform Manual and Automation Testing (JAVA with Selenium)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate TC into the development process.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of automated test scripts and frameworks to support functional, regression, and performance testing.
• Work closely with software development teams to understand application architecture, gather requirements, and identify automation opportunities.
• Execute test cases and analyse test results to identify defects, performance bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
• Participate in test case design, test scenario creation, and test data preparation for testing.
• Collaborate with senior QA engineers
• Contribute to the integration of automated tests into continuous integration and deployment pipelines.
• Learn and apply software testing methodologies, testing techniques, and quality assurance principles.
• Stay updated on emerging trends, tools, and technologies in test automation and seek opportunities for skills enhancement.
• Collaborate with team members to document test automation processes, procedures, and best practices.
  
  

Essential Requirements:

• Good Technical Skills: 4 years of Hands on experience in Automation, Manual and functional testing for both web based and mobile applications, test planning and designing TC , JIRA , Postman
• API Testing Experience: Hands on experience and understanding of API testing principles, including RESTful and SOAP APIs, along with experience in designing and executing API test cases, validating response data, and handling authentication mechanisms.
• Web Application Testing Expertise: Hands on experience in web application testing, including UI testing, regression testing, sanity testing and cross-browser testing
• Test Data Management: Hands on experience in creating and managing test data for API and web application testing, including techniques for data-driven testing and handling test data dependencies.
• Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Good analytical skills to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex issues in automation scripts, along with the ability to analyse test results and identify areas for improvement.
• Team Collaboration: Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, QA engineers, and product managers.
• Domain knowledge – Having knowledge on way ecommerce works will be an added advantage
