About the role
- Performing functional testing of software and recording results in a clear and concise format.
- Managing the prioritisation and reporting of defects to the development teams and ensuring development work is carried out in accordance with schedule and quality requirements.
- Communicating effectively and in a timely manner when test defects could lead to material risk, commercial impact, and/or reputational damage.
- Providing support to the development teams during all stages of the software release process.
- Providing estimates, feedback and metrics relating to the test delivery phases for project scheduling purposes, and reporting on test activities.
- Staying on top of industry trends and techniques, sharing these with your colleagues.
- Expanding test coverage to performance testing, including peak load and soak testing.
- Increasing your knowledge of SQL to enhance productivity in the creation of test deliverables and reports.
Skills & experience
- Ability to write test scripts and appropriately detailed test plans based on need, functionality specifications, and complexity.
- Use of manual and automation test techniques, such as Selenium, and technologies such as Cucumber and Gherkin syntax.
- Experience working within an Agile environment.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with different teams.
- Previous experience working within testing HR related applications and with UK-based teams desirable.
