Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior QA Engineer with expertise in Software Testing and Quality Assurance (QA), specifically within the Tax domain for the USA market. The ideal candidate will be responsible for testing tax preparation software, ensuring compliance with IRS regulations, and improving test automation for highly scalable tax solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive testing of tax preparation software to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with federal and state tax regulations (IRS guidelines).
• Validate tax calculations, deductions, credits, and exemptions to identify and resolve discrepancies or inconsistencies.
• Develop and execute test cases for tax calculation engines, electronic filing systems, and tax reporting interfaces.
• Lead and mentor a global QA team, ensuring high standards of test execution and defect resolution.
• Collaborate with internal tax teams, software developers, and business analysts to define test objectives, scope, and criteria.
• Perform manual and automated testing, ensuring the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management practices, and governance frameworks.
• Identify opportunities for test automation, working closely with automation engineers to develop and maintain automated scripts for accelerated testing cycles.
• Maintain and enhance QA documentation, including test cases, test plans, and user guides.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in software testing and taxation compliance.

Required Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience in Software Testing & QA, with a focus on Tax Software Testing tailored for the USA market.
• 5+ years of experience in software testing, with hands-on expertise in test planning, execution, and defect management tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, JIRA).
• Experience in tax software or financial systems testing is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of Selenium, SAP Cloud ALM, JMETER, Postman, and SQL.
• Understanding of HTML, XML, JSON, and API testing.
• Knowledge of software quality assurance standards and best practices.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Taxation, Computer Science, or a related field (Preferred).
• ISTQB Certification or similar QA certifications are a plus.

Preferred Skills:

• App-based automation testing experience.
• SQL/Database knowledge to validate backend processes.
• Experience testing highly available systems for scalability, security, and compliance.
• Previous participation in a complete product lifecycle, from development to deployment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹2,400,000.00 - ₹3,000,000.00 per year
