Senior QA Analyst

Job Purpose

The Senior QA Analyst will work with the Systems Analysts, Development, and Project Management teams to understand the business/product/system requirements as related to our Trading systems application. You will be responsible for building & reviewing test scenarios, writing & executing test cases. This role requires frequent interaction with software developers, testers, product managers and market supervision professionals to ensure delivery. This position requires technical proficiency/problem solving as well as an eager attitude to learn, professionalism and the ability to interact positively and confidently within the ICE culture. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the trading domain, along with experience in quality assurance processes and testing methodologies. This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and performance of trading applications and systems used in financial markets.

Responsibilities

• Strong background in functional testing with the ability to design and develop test strategy and test cases.
• Design and develop comprehensive test strategies and test cases in ALM for new and existing application features. Ensure content and structure of all testing documents/artifacts are documented and maintained.
• Conduct functional, regression and integration testing for trading platforms and related systems.
• Provide timely status updates and assist the team in making decisions.
• Ability to work in an agile environment with an iterative approach to development.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Communicates plans and status efficiently and helps to ensures team is on track for all testing efforts.
  
  

Knowledge And Experience

• 7+ years of relevant experience in reviewing product requirements and design, creating test plans, and testing distributed web-based applications (Preferably in the financial industry / Trading domain).
• 7+ years Web based GUI testing.
• Preferable - Strong experience in quality assurance within the trading or financial domain.
• Experience with API testing tools and techniques.
• SQL database skills for data validation and database testing.
• Good to have - comfortable with test automation and maintenance.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication skills with ability to explain designs and solutions clearly.
• Excellent presentation skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent academic discipline.
