The Team: Digital Experience Group (*/dxg)
As a technical group we are responsible for creating cutting-edge, innovative, high performing expert solutions to cater to the needs of our huge client base. We work on multiple programming languages and well-established technologies for software development. We use agile and lean software development processes that include continuous integration, automated testing at all levels, challenging work, all of this within a team with a high level of expertise in software development.
Job Summary
We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our development teams as a Senior Product Software Engineer, with focus on backend development.
What this Role demands
- Participate in design, development and maintenance of innovative software solutions that are critical for our customer domains
- Develop, configure and write unit/integration tests for the software to meet user requirements and associated acceptance criteria, performance criteria and non-functional requirements in line with quality standards
- Coordinate with QA/PO and other functions within team to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to understand software designs concepts and perform follow-up of other SW development and test task within the scope of your experience
- Perform an intake and acceptance on SW development tasks
- Execute the quality procedures on SW development and deliver high quality components with regards to SW layout, performance, output and usability.
- Participate in peer code reviews (using tools), customer support etc.
Essential Qualifications & Competencies
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
- 5+ years of Java development experience
- Expertise in Java 11/17 API, Hibernate/JPA,
- Hands-on experience with major web/application servers (WildFly/JBossAS/Tomcat)
- Experience with Maven, Junit
- Experience with REST API’s and Web application Security (including design and testing)
- Database modelling and hands-on experience with Oracle and/or Microsoft SQL Server
- Work experience with GIT version control system
- Knowledge of build management/CI tools, preferably Teamcity
- Experience in working in an Agile environment (SCRUM)
- Team player with good communication (written and oral) and collaboration skills
