About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior PHP Laravel Developer to join our team at EnactOn. If you enjoy writing clean, scalable code, working on real-world applications, and collaborating with a team that values innovation, you’ll feel right at home here.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Develop & Maintain Web Applications: Build, optimize, and maintain complex applications using Laravel to ensure high performance and seamless user experiences.
• Database Design & Management: Work with MySQL and relational databases, ensuring efficient data handling, security, and integrity.
• API Development: Develop, integrate, and maintain robust APIs for seamless interaction with internal systems and third-party platforms.
• Collaboration with Front-End Teams: Work closely with front-end developers to ensure smooth integration of UI with backend logic.
• Code Optimization & Performance Tuning: Continuously improve existing code, enhancing performance, security, and scalability.
• Documentation & Best Practices: Maintain comprehensive documentation and follow best coding practices for easy future upgrades.
• Client Interaction: Occasionally collaborate with clients to understand requirements and provide technical insights.

What You Bring to the Table

• 3-6 years of experience working with PHP and Laravel.
• Strong understanding of MVC design patterns and object-oriented programming (OOP).
• Proficiency in MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQLite, with experience in database architecture and optimization.
• Experience in RESTful API development and authentication standards like OAuth and JWT.
• Familiarity with Git, version control workflows, and modern development tools.
• Knowledge of web security best practices to protect against vulnerabilities.
• Experience with third-party API integrations to enhance functionality.

Bonus Skills That Make You Stand Out

• Experience with Laravel Filament for efficient backend management.
• Proficiency in React.js or Next.js for building dynamic front-end interfaces.
• Experience handling large databases and optimizing high-traffic applications.
• Expertise in Bootstrap and Tailwind CSS for clean, responsive UI development.
• Strong problem-solving skills and experience designing scalable software architectures.
• Understanding of caching, background jobs, and event-driven design for performance optimization.
• Ability to build custom Laravel packages and extend Laravel functionalities.
• Familiarity with multi-tenancy architectures and SaaS development.
• E-commerce expertise, with experience integrating payment systems like Stripe, PayPal, or Square.
