Senior PHP Developer

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior PHP Laravel Developer to join our dynamic development team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in PHP development and a deep understanding of the Laravel framework. You will be responsible for building scalable, high-performance web applications, developing custom solutions, and leading a team of junior developers. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain systems that align with business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Application Development: Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and secure web applications using PHP and the Laravel framework.
• Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following industry best practices. Conduct code reviews and ensure quality standards.
• Database Management: Create and optimize database structures, design complex queries, and ensure efficient data handling and storage.
• API Integration: Develop and integrate RESTful APIs, ensuring proper documentation and secure communication between services.
• System Architecture: Work on designing system architecture to scale applications and ensure high availability.
• Collaborative Work: Work closely with frontend developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of user-facing elements with server-side logic.
• Troubleshooting & Debugging: Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex issues in both development and production environments.
• Performance Optimization: Optimize application performance through effective caching strategies, query optimization, and server configurations.
• Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level developers, helping them grow their skills.
• Agile Development: Participate in agile development processes including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Security: Ensure the security of applications by identifying potential threats, implementing security measures, and staying updated with the latest security trends.
• Documentation: Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation for the codebase, APIs, and technical workflows.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience with PHP development.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience with the Laravel framework.
• Experience with RESTful API development and integration.
• Strong understanding of relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Proven experience with version control systems, preferably Git.
• Experience with testing frameworks (PHPUnit, Behat, etc.).

Pay: ?10,748.22 - ?30,000.00 per month
