Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior PHP Backend Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in PHP development, server-side programming, and backend architecture. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing backend services, working with databases, caching mechanisms, and ensuring high-performance, scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services using PHP (Yii, CodeIgniter, or Laravel).
• Upgrade and optimize existing PHP applications (e.g., migration from PHP 5 to PHP 7+).
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and integrate them with frontend applications.
• Optimize database queries and structures using MySQL, PostgreSQL, or NoSQL (Redis, Cassandra, Elasticsearch).
• Implement caching solutions like Memcached, Redis, and optimize performance.
• Work on server-side architecture, containerization (Docker), and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for smooth deployment and automation.
• Work with microservices architecture and integrate with third-party systems.
• Monitor and maintain backend performance using logging, system monitoring, and debugging tools.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including frontend developers, DevOps, and product managers.
  
  

Key Skills & Qualifications

• Proficiency in PHP frameworks (Yii, CodeIgniter, Laravel, or Symfony).
• Strong knowledge of server-side programming, API development, and system architecture.
• Experience with database optimization, replication, and caching mechanisms.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud-based infrastructure.
• Familiarity with Elasticsearch and Kafka for search and real-time data processing.
• Strong problem-solving skills and experience in high-traffic, scalable applications.
• Experience with continuous integration, deployment automation, and monitoring tools.
• Knowledge of frontend technologies (React, Vue.js) is a plus.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in migrating monolithic applications to microservices.
• Knowledge of automated testing, unit testing, and test-driven development (TDD).
• Exposure to Python, C#, or Bash scripting is a plus.
• Strong background in system monitoring, auto-scaling, and self-healing architectures.
