Role description
- Experience:
- 5+ years of Data Network experience preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of Cisco Switching and Routing, F5 LTM/ASM, network security, and network management systems.
- Certifications:
- CCNA, CCNP, Cisco Certified Network Associate, or equivalent hands-on and network design experience.
- F5-CSE certification.
- Technical and Project Management:
- Strong ability to work with teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Balancing daily workloads along with business and maintenance projects.
- Collaborating with Project Managers to ensure timely and successful project completion.
- In-depth knowledge in networking, with a basic understanding of related disciplines.
- Problem-solving abilities and a fresh perspective on existing solutions.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to make recommendations based on networking knowledge.
- Ability to work independently with minimal guidance and serve as a resource for less experienced colleagues.
- Work Environment Flexibility:
- Available for off-hours support, including On-Call duties.
- Minimal travel requirements.
- Network Hardware & Software:
- Extensive experience in installation, maintenance, and repair of network hardware and software.
- Networking Infrastructure:
- Deep knowledge of LAN/WAN/Wireless/VoIP hardware/software technologies, network infrastructure, design, topology, protocols, and operating procedures.
- Expertise in Cisco Nexus Switch Technology (VPC, NXOS, FEX), Cisco Catalyst Switch Technology (VSS, IOS Universal, Layer 2/3 technologies, Stackwise), and Cisco ISR/ASR Router Technology (IOS Universal, Layer 3 technologies, routing protocols).
- Routing protocols: EIGRP, BGP, PBR, HSRP, VRRP, GLBP, and OSPF.
- Cisco NFG Firewall (VPN Client - IPSEC/SSL, LAN-to-LAN).
- Cisco Wireless Technology (LWAPP & Autonomous), WCS, and Prime Wireless LAN Management.
- Application Load Balancer (LTM, ASM, iRules).
- DNS/DHCP and IPAM Technology.
- Familiarity with technologies such as Radius, TACACS, QoS, Packet Capturing and Analysis, Metro Ethernet, Dark Fiber services, and Copper & Fiber cabling.
- Proficiency with network monitoring tools and strong network troubleshooting skills.
- Flexibility to work during overlap hours up to 11:00 PM IST based on business requirements.
