Job Title: Network Engineer
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Network Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot our network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will ensure that our IT network systems are efficient, secure, and aligned with the organization’s business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Network Design and Implementation
- Plan, design, and deploy network infrastructure to meet organizational needs.
- Configure routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices.
- Ensure high availability and redundancy in the network setup.
2. Network Maintenance and Monitoring
- Monitor network performance to identify and resolve issues proactively.
- Conduct regular maintenance and upgrades of network hardware and software.
- Troubleshoot network issues and outages promptly.
3. Security and Compliance
- Implement and maintain network security protocols, including firewalls and intrusion detection systems.
- Ensure compliance with data protection and security regulations.
- Perform regular network security audits and vulnerability assessments.
4. Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain detailed documentation of the network architecture, configurations, and changes.
- Prepare reports on network performance, incidents, and resolutions.
5. Collaboration and Support
- Work closely with IT teams and stakeholders to ensure seamless network operations.
- Provide technical support and guidance to team members and end-users.
- Liaise with vendors and service providers for hardware and software procurement and troubleshooting.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Network Engineer or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF).
- Hands-on experience with networking hardware (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, HP, etc.).
- Proficiency in network security tools and best practices.
- Knowledge of cloud networking (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Certifications (Preferred but not mandatory)
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
- CompTIA Network+
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
Work Environment
- On-site or hybrid setup, depending on organizational policies.
- Availability for occasional on-call duties to address critical network issues.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ?25,000.00 - ?35,000.00 per month
