Position Summary:
We are looking for a Senior Member Technical Staff – Software Development to join our athenahealth Clinicals Engineering team within our athenahealth Clinicals division at Pune location. But enough about us; let us talk about you.
You are an engineer with experience in iOS application development using Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit & Objective-C . You are an excellent communicator capable of quickly picking up the complicated healthcare domain. You are a tenacious yet nimble learner who demonstrates design and engineering excellence.
The Team:
Athenahealth Clinicals – Accelerators (ONCHT) is a team focused on developing iOS apps using Agile, Jira, Bitbucket and much more with tech-stack Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit, and Objective-C. This team is innovative, passionate, and driven by our mission to help make an impact.
Responsibilities
● Produce accurate, unambiguous technical design specifications to the appropriate detail
● Deliver customer value in the form of high-quality software components and services in adherence with RPR policies on Security, performance, longevity, and Integration testing
● Estimate the size of development tasks in story points with the goal of 80% accuracy; begin to challenge others during estimation
● Understand and follow coding conventions, architectures, and best practices
● Write, debug, and deploy code to production; deliver timely fixes
● Adhere to DOD (story definition of done) as part of the sprint, including unit tests, functional testing, code reviews, no regressions, bug fixes, documentation and adhere to best coding practices
● Perform peer code reviews to ensure quality standards
● Master the domain knowledge for area of assignment
● Take ownership of what the team builds after the release; consider customer adoption as success criteria
● Contribute to agile ceremonies to improve team performance
● Volunteer for work in the backlog and commit to quality delivery; coordinate efforts across the team to ensure completion and effectiveness
● Participate and contribute to scrum meetings i.e., daily stand-up, sprint planning, readouts, and retrospectives
● Drive self-organization; help determine how the team functions in collaboration with your peers
● Advise and train members of the team to maximize overall productivity and effectiveness of the team
● Work collaboratively across the Technology and Product organizations to ensure alignment towards business goals
● Share business and technical learnings with the broader engineering and product organization, while adapting approach for different audiences
Education, Experience, & Skills Required:
● 5+ years of experience in an engineering role
● Experience in an Agile environment preferred
● Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
● Strong software engineering skills and computer science experience
● Agile/Scrum work experience for iterative development.
● Good written and verbal communications and interpersonal skills
● Strong Experience in development and maintaining native iOS applications.
● Strong Experience in programming languages such as: Swift and Objective-C.
● Experience with object-oriented programing, SwiftUI, CoreData, UIKit, Restful API integration, and publishing application on app store and test flight.
● Experience with release engineering tooling such as Xcode, Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Artifactory, JIRA
● Experience with performance and memory tuning with tools (such as instruments and memory graph).
● Exposure in developing multi-threaded applications.
