Overview
Perform functional testing of payment applications, systems, and platforms, ensuring they meet the specified requirements.
Verify the correctness of payment processes such as transaction processing, settlements, payment gateway integrations, and reconciliation.
Develop and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on business requirements and user stories.
Ensure testing covers both positive and negative scenarios, including edge cases related to different payment methods, currencies, and user scenarios.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Use knowledge of payment processing systems, payment gateways, mobile wallets, POS systems, and transaction types (credit card, debit card, ACH, etc.) to guide test case development.
Understand industry standards such as PCI-DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard), ISO 20022, and SEPA (Single Euro Payments Area) for testing compliance.
Execute functional test cases and log defects in defect-tracking systems.
Generate clear and concise test documentation, including test scenarios, cases, and results.
Track and report on the progress of testing activities, including test case execution status and defect resolution.
Conduct regression testing to ensure that new functionality does not break existing functionality.
Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by verifying business scenarios and ensuring that the product meets user expectations.
