Job Overview:

We are looking for a skilled Senior Linux System Administrator with strong experience in MySQL and PostgreSQL database administration to manage Azure cloud-hosted Linux servers and databases. The role includes ensuring high availability, security, performance optimization, and disaster recovery for our MySQL and PostgreSQL environments, as well as automating tasks and collaborating with development teams.

Key Responsibilities:

- Administer and maintain Azure-based Linux servers and databases.

- Manage MySQL/PostgreSQL installations, backups, restores, upgrades, and replication.

- Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and database performance optimization.

- Automate routine tasks using shell scripting (Bash, Python) and tools like Ansible.

- Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement database solutions within CI/CD pipelines.

- Conduct regular database health checks and ensure security and compliance.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).

- 5+ years of experience as a Linux System Administrator.

- Strong experience with MySQL and PostgreSQL administration, performance tuning, and replication.

- Proficiency in shell scripting and automation tools (e.g., Ansible).

- Solid understanding of backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.

- Experience with cloud migrations (AWS/Azure).

Preferred Skills:

Certifications (e.g., RHCE, MySQL DBA, PostgreSQL).
