Senior Lead Software Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Release Manager to join our Technology team at Clarivate. The Release Manager will own the Release Management lifecycle which includes scheduling, coordinating and the management of releases across the enterprise for multiple inter-related sub-systems.

The releases can be inclusive of application updates, operating system patches, security improvements, hardware upgrades, Projects and Programs. You will be responsible for implementing and managing release processes for the progression of code in the development, test, and production environments.

About You

• Bachelor or master degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Atleast 9 years of relevant experience as a Release Manager or in a similar role.
• Strong leadership and project management skills
• Experience in Agile Development (Scrum)
• Exposure to one of AWS or Azure Cloud is mandatory.
• Good understanding of CI CD and automation scripting.
  
  

What you will be doing in this role?

• Co-ordinate with all development and support teams to understand the functionality each sub-system is developing and plan the release windows and cycles.
• Liaise with the solutions analysts to understand the implications of each sub-system change, any impacts to other sub-system/Editorial teams and co-ordinate all consequent changes
• Manage risks and resolves issues that affect release scope, schedule and quality.
• Communicate release details and schedules to the Business as required.
• Organise hyper care for the new/changed functionality.
• Continually work towards making improvements in the release process. CICD and automation is key
  
  

About The Team

The team will work closely with Content IT team leads and Editorial teams. You will get the opportunity to work in a cross-cultural work environment.

Working Hours

This is permanent position with Clarivate. You will be working from 10am to 7pm IST, 9 hours of work per day including 1 hour lunch break
