As part of the department:

In EG Retail & Wholesale, we are looking for Senior Java Developers with 5 to 10 years of experience to be based out of Mangalore office in India and be part of our growth story.

As a Senior Developer, you will have the opportunity to collaborate and shape an emerging team of developers, building and supporting multiple products that are part of EG Retail & Wholesale. You will play an important role in building a strong development team in India.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of complex software applications using Java 1.8, Spring Boot, and AngularJS.
• Architect and implement integration solutions using Apache Camel to facilitate data flow between applications.
• Mentor and guide junior developers, providing technical leadership and fostering best practices.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into actionable technical specifications.
• Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure high-quality standards and maintainability of the codebase.
• Optimize application performance and troubleshoot complex issues in production environments.
• Design and implement solutions utilizing Apache Kafka and RabbitMQ for efficient message processing.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies, advocating for their adoption within the team.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and development processes

Required Skills

• Extensive experience with Java 1.8 and Spring Boot framework.
• Proficiency in front-end development using AngularJS.
• Deep understanding of Apache Camel for integration.
• Expertise in messaging systems, especially Apache Kafka and RabbitMQ.
• Proficient in Data bases and optimization techniques.
• Experience with Apache Tomcat and performance tuning.
• Exceptional leadership and mentoring abilities.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong sense of ownership and accountability for project outcomes.
