Overview
Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced IT Desktop Manager to lead and manage our desktop support and end-user services. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of IT hardware and software across the organization, maintaining high levels of user satisfaction, and supporting the strategic direction of IT services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Manage a team of desktop support engineers, providing guidance, training, and performance management to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Desktop Support: Oversee and deliver desktop support for both hardware and software, ensuring quick resolution of issues to maintain productivity across the business.
- End-User Services: Develop and implement policies and procedures for efficient desktop support services, ensuring users receive timely assistance and solutions.
- Asset Management: Oversee the management and maintenance of desktop hardware, ensuring all systems are properly tracked, updated, and secured.
- Software Deployment: Manage the deployment of operating systems, software, and updates across the organization using automation tools.
- Incident & Problem Management: Coordinate resolution of desktop-related incidents and problems, collaborating with other IT teams to resolve complex issues.
- Security & Compliance: Ensure that desktop systems are secure and comply with company security standards and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Vendor Management: Manage relationships with third-party suppliers for hardware, software, and support services, ensuring best value and performance.
- Continuous Improvement: Monitor trends in desktop support and IT service delivery, recommending and implementing improvements for efficiency and user satisfaction.
- Reporting: Provide regular reports to senior management on desktop performance, issues, and improvement initiatives.
Key Requirements:
- Experience: At least 5 years of experience in IT support, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of desktop operating systems (Windows, macOS, etc.) and desktop software.
- Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and software deployment tools (e.g., SCCM, Intune).
- Understanding of network principles, VPN, and remote desktop technologies.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes and frameworks.
- Experience with endpoint security and patch management.
- Leadership & Communication: Proven leadership ability to manage and develop a technical team. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise effectively with users and senior management.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to think critically and resolve complex IT issues.
- Qualifications: IT-related degree or certifications (e.g., CompTIA, ITIL, Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician, etc.) are highly desirable.
Desired Qualities:
- Strong customer service orientation, with a focus on delivering a positive user experience.
- Proactive and organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Experience in managing large-scale IT environments and desktop infrastructures.
- Knowledge of IT service management frameworks (ITIL) and service delivery metrics.
- Ability to stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
