Position Overview:
The IT & Data Security Manager will be responsible for developing and overseeing Nklet’s technology infrastructure, ensuring robust data protection practices, and aligning IT strategies with business goals. This role requires a tech-savvy leader with a strong understanding of data privacy regulations, IT architecture, and the unique challenges faced by growing organizations.
Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for identifying new IT and security-related business opportunities, helping to bring in projects that expand Nklet’s service offerings.
Key Responsibilities:
IT Infrastructure & Strategy
- Plan, build, and maintain secure and scalable network systems, cloud solutions, and internal tools.
- Implement best practices for system uptime, redundancy, and disaster recovery to support 24/7 BPO operations.
- Evaluate and integrate new technologies or vendor solutions to enhance productivity and performance.
Data Security & Compliance
- Oversee data protection protocols, ensuring compliance with relevant laws (e.g., India’s IT Act, potential Data Protection Bill, GDPR if applicable).
- Develop and implement policies for data encryption, access control, and secure data storage.
- Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend improvements.
Policy Development & Enforcement
- Create and maintain IT policies, including user access guidelines, remote work protocols, and incident response plans.
- Serve as the point of contact for data privacy inquiries, ensuring transparent and lawful data handling.
- Collaborate with legal and HR teams to keep policies up to date and train staff on compliance requirements.
Startup-Focused Leadership
- Provide strategic guidance to adapt the IT roadmap to evolving startup needs.
- Work closely with senior leadership to align technology initiatives with business goals.
- Mentor and train junior IT staff, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Implement MIS (Management Information Systems) and workforce management (WFM) tools for real-time performance tracking.
- Generate regular reports and dashboards on system health, data security metrics, and call center efficiency.
- Present insights to leadership and suggest optimizations for improved cost-effectiveness and ROI.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management
- Evaluate third-party vendors for software, hardware, and security solutions.
- Manage vendor contracts, negotiations, and service-level agreements (SLAs).
- Liaise with client-side IT/security teams to maintain trust and ensure compliance with client expectations.
Business Development & Project Acquisition
- Identify and pursue new IT and cybersecurity-related business opportunities for Nklet Fit Pvt. Ltd.
- Pitch IT security and technology solutions to potential clients and stakeholders.
- Develop proposals and manage end-to-end project acquisition processes.
- Collaborate with the leadership team to diversify revenue streams through IT consulting and managed security services.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Age Range: 25–35 years.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- Experience:
- Minimum 3–5 years in IT management, data security, or similar roles.
- Proven track record working with startups or new organizations, driving policy creation and infrastructure setup.
- Experience in BPO or customer support environments is advantageous.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in network security, server administration, and cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Knowledge of data privacy regulations (IT Act, GDPR) and relevant certifications (e.g., ISO 27001) is highly desired.
- Familiarity with data scraping, CRM integrations, or call center software.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong leadership and communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients.
- Ability to simplify complex technical issues for non-technical stakeholders.
- Adaptable mindset to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving startup environment.
