Job Description
As a Senior IT Analyst, you will embody advanced technical expertise and strategic thinking to drive maturity of IT Service delivery. You will be responsible for managing complex troubleshooting tasks, leading the delivery of objectives and key results, providing coaching and mentorship to IT analysts to develop their technical skills, while also ensuring outcomes are aligned with business objectives.
Role Specific Accountabilities:
- Lead the resolution of complex issues, applying a strategic approach to problem-solving and leveraging in-depth technical knowledge.
- Oversee the operation of systems and processes, ensuring they not only meet but aim to exceed service level agreements through continuous improvement and proactive management.
- Establish strong partnerships with business units, infrastructure teams, and vendors to drive problem resolution and the successful implementation of strategic projects and initiatives.
- Advocate for the adoption of emerging technologies and practices that can provide tangible benefits and enhance the IT portfolio's value.
- Mentor and coach IT analysts, guiding their technical development and enhancing the team's overall capabilities.
- Utilize performance metrics to identify trends and support the development of strategies to improve systems performance and mitigate issues.
- Develop and deliver training sessions for end-users on new systems, software, or processes, ensuring user adoption and maximizing the return on IT investments.
Qualifications
If you possess the following, we’d like to hear from you:
- Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- 5-9 years of relevant experience (candidate with less experiences will be considered as IT Analyst)
- Deep understanding of ITIL practices and experience with IT service management platforms like ServiceNow or BMC Remedy, dashboard/reporting knowledge is an asset
- Proficiency in cloud computing services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and experience in managing complex cloud infrastructure projects.
- Advanced knowledge of database administration, data modeling, and performance tuning, particularly with Oracle and SQL Server.
- In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles, risk management, and experience with implementing security measures.
- Be available for on-call rotation
- Strong organizational skills and planning prowess, with excellent attention to detail.
- Through understanding of schedulers/jobs and SLA practices.
