Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Full-Stack Developer with expertise in the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of professional experience in full-stack development and a solid understanding of deployment processes and basic DevOps practices. This role offers the opportunity to work on impactful projects that directly influence the future of education.

Key Responsibilities:

Full-Stack Development:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust web applications using the MERN stack.
• Implement responsive UI components using React.js and manage state with Redux or Context API.
• Develop RESTful APIs and microservices using Node.js and Express.js.

Database Management:

• Design and optimise MongoDB schemas for performance and scalability.
• Implement data caching strategies to enhance application performance.

DevOps and Deployment:

• Good understanding about DevOps practices to manage application deployment and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Configure and manage servers and cloud services (e.g., AWS).

Collaboration and Leadership:

• Work closely with cross-functional teams including designers, product managers, and other developers to deliver high-quality products.
• Mentor junior developers and promote best coding practices within the team.

Quality Assurance:

• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to development standards.
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure the reliability of the applications.

Problem Solving and Innovation:

• Identify and resolve performance and scalability issues.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and propose integrations to improve platform efficiency.

Qualifications:

Experience:

• Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in full-stack web development.
• Proven experience working with the MERN stack in production environments.

Technical Skills:

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including ES6+ syntax.
• Deep understanding of front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design principles.
• Experience with state management libraries like Redux or MobX.
• Proficient in using version control systems, particularly Git.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, GraphQL is a plus.
• Basic understanding of DevOps practices and experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins or Travis CI.
• Experience with containerization tools such as Docker; Kubernetes knowledge is a plus.
• Knowledge of authentication mechanisms such as JWT, OAuth.
