ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM
We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) to manage and optimize our multi-database environment, including Oracle RAC (19c/12c), MSSQL (2019/2022), PostgreSQL, and MariaDB/MySQL.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in high availability, performance tuning, installations, upgrades, and cloud-based database solutions.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Manage and administer Oracle RAC (One Node) 19c/12c environments.
- Configure and maintain ASM, RMAN, OEM Cloud Control.
- Perform database installations, upgrades, patching, cloning, and migrations.
- Conduct performance tuning, troubleshooting, and optimization.
- Maintain MSSQL 2019/2022 databases with HA-Always On, Windows Failover Clustering (WFC).
- Manage and optimize Azure SQL Managed Instance, Azure SQL Database.
- Monitor databases using Azure Monitoring and ensure high availability.
- Perform database upgrades and patching.
- Configure and maintain PostgreSQL replication for high availability.
- Manage and optimize MariaDB/MySQL databases.
- Perform performance tuning and troubleshooting.
ABOUT YOUR SKILLS
- 5+ years of experience as a Database Administrator with expertise in Oracle, MSSQL, and PostgreSQL/MySQL.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle RAC, ASM, RMAN, OEM CC, and performance tuning.
- Strong knowledge of MSSQL HA solutions (Always On, WFC) and Azure SQL environments.
- Experience with PostgreSQL replication and MySQL administration.
- Proficiency in database security, backup/recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Familiarity with cloud environments (Azure, AWS, or GCP) is a plus.
- Certifications in Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, or PostgreSQL.
- Experience with automation (Ansible, Terraform, Shell scripting, or PowerShell).
- Knowledge of Kubernetes and containerized database deployments is a plus.
