About the Team

The team consisting for Sourcing and Final mile execution. In Sourcing we provide solutions as to how a product will be be sourced to the customer at optimal cost. In final mile Delivery we provide solutions as to how the products that are ordered by the customer are delivered on time with efficiency.

Job Summary:

The primary purpose of the Sr Data Scientist is to provide advanced analytical capabilities to support data science initiatives at scale. This position solves complex problems with the direction of senior colleagues and is responsible for the data science support of various initiatives. Finally, this position develops advanced automated self-service products and solutions for business partners to effectively interpret data and build data products at scale.

Core Responsibilities:

• Developing Advanced Analytics Models: Designing and implementing predictive models and machine learning algorithms to drive business decisions.

• Data-Driven Solutions: Creating and deploying data-driven solutions to improve business outcomes.

• Data Quality and Integrity: Ensuring the accuracy and reliability of data sources and collection methods.

• Algorithm Development: Building algorithms to analyze large datasets and provide actionable insights.

• Collaboration: Working with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and devise solutions.

• Mentorship: Guiding and mentoring junior data scientists and providing expert advice.

• Presentation: Communicating data insights to stakeholders in a comprehensible manner.

Years of Experience:

• 5+ years of experience.

• 4 - 5 years’ experience as a Data Scientist.

Required Minimum Qualifications: Master's degree in mathematics, statistics, physics, economics, engineering, computer science, data or information science, or related quantitative analytic field

Primary Skills (must have)

• Technical Expertise: Proficiency in statistics, machine learning, data mining, and big data technologies.

• Programming Skills: Experience with programming languages such as Python, R, SQL, and Java, Pyspark, MLOps

• Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical skills to interpret complex data and solve problems.

• Communication: Ability to present findings clearly and effectively to non-technical stakeholders.

• Understand post ML model deployment steps like model drift, data drift.

• Good to Have: Relevant retail domain experience and experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
