Senior Data Engineer

Overview

Responsibilities of the role:

• Build, monitor, maintain, and enhance real-time data pipelines
• Automating build and deployment pipelines for end-to-end customer lifecycle
• Develop our data lake to support the needs of the hospitality industry
• Proactively seek to link analytical outputs to commercial outcomes
• Optimise components to run efficiently in the cloud
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving data pipeline issues and infrastructure-related problems in a timely manner
• Contribute to the product roadmap, sprint planning, stand-ups, and ensuring the scrum board is up to date
• Document data engineering processes, workflows, and best practices to facilitate knowledge sharing and ensure reproducibility.

We would love to hear from you if you…

• have 5+ yrs experience in data engineering
• have a degree in data science, mathematics, statistics, or computer science
• understand good data design principles
• are proficient in the development and operation data pipelines
• can work with others to hypothesize and identify trends in data to achieve results for customers.
• are skilled at developing and refining forecasting models
• are experienced with SQL, Python, Jupyter Notebooks, and ETL tools (dbt, stored procs)
• Familiar with cloud hosting services, eg either Google, AWS, Azure, and their data services

It would be fantastic but not essential if you have experience working with any of the following technologies:

• Google Cloud Platform (Cloud Storage, Cloud Run, BigQuery)
• Postman (API Development)
• Python Django
• DBT
• Application containerization in Terraform

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: ₹800,000.00 - ₹1,200,000.00 per year
