Senior Cloud Platform Engineer / Architect
ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
We are looking for an experienced Senior Cloud Platform Engineer/Architect to join our Cloud Center of Excellence team. You will play a critical role in automating and streamlining our cloud infrastructure and processes, developing and maintaining tools for monitoring and compliance. A core responsibility will be designing, implementing, and testing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and Azure Policy to manage our Azure cloud environment in a secure manner.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES / KEY RESULT AREAS
- Design and Development: Design, develop, and maintain reusable Infrastructure as Code(IaC) modules using Terraform.
- Cloud Infrastructure Management: Manage and optimize cloud-based resources and services in Azure, leveraging IAC for consistent deployments. Implement and maintain Azure landing zone(s)
- Cloud Governance: Implement and enforce security best practices and organizational policies using Azure Policy ensuring compliance with industry and regulatory requirements
- Automation and Tooling: Develop and maintain automation code base for infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployments. Identify and implement manual processes and tasks
- Troubleshooting and Support: Proactively identify and resolve complex technical issues across wide range of cloud services and related functional areas

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
- Strong experience with Azure
- Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.
- Experience with Azure Policies for compliance and governance.
- Experience with infrastructure scripting solutions such as PowerShell, Python, and/or others.
- Strong knowledge of DevOps tools like Git, Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Technical expertise in software development, IT operations, and DevOps tools and technologies.
OTHER KEY REQUIREMENTS / COMMENTS
- Azure, Cloud certifications.
- Experience with software testing frameworks.
Knowledge of network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and the associated network protocols and concepts.
