Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced and versatile Senior Cloud Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our cloud infrastructure, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
You will leverage your broad technical expertise, including programming, network administration, and software configuration, to drive our cloud initiatives and support our business objectives.
Your experience with DevOps practices and agile methodologies will be crucial in delivering efficient and effective cloud solutions.
Responsibilities
We are seeking a highly experienced and versatile Senior Cloud Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our cloud infrastructure, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
You will leverage your broad technical expertise, including programming, network administration, and software configuration, to drive our cloud initiatives and support our business objectives.
Your experience with DevOps practices and agile methodologies will be crucial in delivering efficient and effective cloud solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Implement and maintain cloud-based solutions for scalability, high availability, and disaster recovery.
- Monitor cloud infrastructure performance and ensure optimal resource utilization.
- Implement and enforce security best practices for cloud environments.
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Git, Jenkins, and Docker.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools.
- Promote and implement DevOps best practices to improve development and deployment efficiency.
- Utilize programming skills to automate tasks and develop cloud-based applications.
- Manage database systems and ensure data integrity.
- Install, configure, and maintain software applications in cloud environments.
- Participate in IT project management using agile methodologies (Agile or Scrum).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
- Effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to cloud infrastructure and applications.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures.
- Utilize strong analytical and problem-solving skills to optimize cloud performance.
- 8+ years of experience in IT, with a focus on cloud technologies.
- Demonstrable expertise in programming, network administration, and software installation and configuration.
- 3+ years of experience in software development, database management, or a role with similar responsibilities.
- Strong understanding of cloud computing technologies (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
- Experience with DevOps practices and tools (Git, Jenkins, and Docker).
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools (e., Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Experience with IT project management methodologies, such as Agile or Scrum.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with organizational capabilities.
- Relevant certifications such as Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) are highly valued.
- Cloud certifications (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Architect) are highly valued.
- Experience with container orchestration tools (e., Kubernetes).
- Experience with cloud security best practices and tools.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack)
